Mechanical Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to support conveyor system design and installation activities for automotive manufacturing facilities. This role is ideal for recent Mechanical Engineering graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in automotive plant environments, conveyor systems, and project execution.
The engineer will work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and contractors to support assembly, paint, and body shop conveyor operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist senior engineers in mechanical conveyor design and layout using 2D AutoCAD
Support engineering activities for conveyor systems including:
Power & Free
Overhead and Inverted Conveyors
Roller, Skillet, Pallet, and Friction Drive Systems
Review drawings, layouts, and documentation provided by contractors
Participate in site visits and support on-site installation and commissioning activities
Help track issues, updates, and action items related to conveyor systems
Support basic engineering studies such as:
Conveyor layouts
Material flow concepts
Cycle time and line balance assistance
Follow industry safety, fire protection, and installation standards
Work under the guidance of Client CARE Project Managers and senior engineering staff
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
0–2 years of experience (Internships or co-op experience in manufacturing or automation is a plus)
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD (2D)
Strong interest in automotive manufacturing and conveyor systems
Willingness to travel and work onsite for extended periods when required
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $79,779.33 - $96,078.34 per year
