This person will build and scale the accounting and financial reporting infrastructure, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic decision-making as the company scales.The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, interested in AI, and has prior experience building an Accounting function in fast-paced startup environments.QualificationsFinancial Reporting & CloseOwn the monthly and annual close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.Prepare and review financial statements, management reporting packages, and variance analyses.Partner with department leaders to review monthly results and key drivers.Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting policies.Business PartnershipPartner with the VP of Finance and FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.Provide financial insights supporting pricing, strategic initiatives, and operating decisions.Support board reporting, investor updates, and diligence requests.Accounting OperationsOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.Manage and develop the outsourced accounting team.Ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606 (SaaS/subscription, usage-based billing, contract modifications).Manage fixed assets, capitalization, depreciation, and amortization.Partner with FP&A and Revenue Operations on customer metrics integrity and data accuracy.Internal Controls & ComplianceDesign, implement, and maintain internal controls appropriate for a rapidly growing international company.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party service providers.Manage both external and internal audits and prepare financial reports.
