Employer: Mountain West Industrial Location: Remote Mining & New Mill Construction Sites - Traveling Compensation: Competitive wages + travel pay + daily per diem Position Overview Mountain West Industrial is seeking skilled Millwrights to join our team on mining, mineral processing, and new mill construction projects. This is a traveling position for experienced mechanical professionals who can install, assemble, align, maintain, and troubleshoot heavy industrial equipment in demanding mine and processing environments. Our projects involve the construction, installation, and commissioning of equipment and mechanical systems used in mining and mineral processing operations. Responsibilities Install, assemble, and maintain heavy industrial and mineral processing equipment Work with conveyors, crushers, screens, mills, pumps, gearboxes, motors, and other mining equipment Perform mechanical installation, equipment alignment, leveling, and precision setup Assist with the construction and commissioning of new mining and processing facilities Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, equipment layouts, and specifications Perform rigging and material handling of heavy industrial equipment Troubleshoot mechanical systems and equipment Work safely around heavy machinery, mobile equipment, and active mine or mill construction sites Follow all company, project, and applicable MSHA safety requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work effectively with millwrights, ironworkers, welders, electricians, operators, and other construction trades Qualifications Previous experience as a Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, or similar mechanical trade Experience in mining, mineral processing, aggregate, heavy industrial, or mill construction preferred Experience installing and maintaining heavy industrial equipment Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment specifications Experience with rigging, equipment alignment, and mechanical installation Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Ability and willingness to travel to remote mine and mill construction sites Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor and industrial environments Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship MSHA experience or training preferred What We Offer Competitive wages Travel pay Daily per diem Remote mining and mill construction opportunities Work on major mining and mineral processing projects Opportunities to work with heavy industrial equipment and large-scale processing systems A professional team committed to safety, quality, and productivity Job Type: Full-time Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred) Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (Preferred) Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred) Work Location: On the road
