Territory Sales Representative - Roofing, Phoenix, AZ
SUMMARYThis position is responsible for achieving company sales and profitability targets in the assigned sales territory for Westlake Royal Building Products - Roofing Solutions. Develop and maintain consultative relationships with customers and prospects in the following defined segments: Distributors, Custom home Builders, Roofing Contractors, General Contractors and Multi-Family Builders. Thorough understanding of the needs of these segments and key customers. Responsible for expanding market share and developing sales strategies. This position is assigned to the Phoenix region. Products include concrete and clay tile products and Westlake Royal Roofing System Components.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMay include, but are not limited to, the following:Quickly establish strong relationships with all existing customersSell Westlake Royal Building Products' concrete and clay roofing products from and services to achieve targets/quotas in Westlake Roofing defined segmentsWork with architects and designers so that the company's products are specified in the original planning documentsInterpret data obtained from lead generation, industry/market data, research, and other reporting factorsConsistently drive product performance to achieve market share, sales growth, and ASPDevelop and maintain territory plans to achieve company and regional business plan objectives and sales goalsEstablish and maintain positive customer relations by regularly meeting and consulting with current and potential customersBuild a strong rapport with key decision makers within customers' organizationsParticipate in local building and roofing associated trade showsBe well versed in customer business operations and their need for products, intangibles, key personnel, and customersProvide information concerning marketing opportunities and competitive products and companies to regional and corporate managersRecommend changes in company products, practices, and marketing activities to capitalize on current competitive situationsOperate territory business within a given expense budgetary limitManage customer complaints in accordance with company policyCoordinate with accounting personnel to keep customer accounts receivable currentProvide technical advice to current and potential customersDistributing technical literatureArrange demonstrations and training sessionsOn a timely basis, submit all written and electronically transmitted sales reports and forecastsParticipate in prescribed sales, technical, and product training programs and directionManage company customer database information so it can effectively assist in matching customer needs with product offeringsComply with Westlake Safety Policies and ProceduresSome overnight travel may be required/or 20 % of travel requiredEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree preferredBilingual a plus (Spanish)Direct sales experience preferred; building product sales experience preferredExcellent negotiating skillsStrong relationship building skillsAbility to manage several projects simultaneously, detail orientedAn enthusiastic, self-starter with good interpersonal skillsRequires the consultative mind-set, solution-oriented method of sellingWorking knowledge of MS office suite including teams and outlook 365Experience with Salesforce, SAP or other deal desk systemsInsurability and valid US state driver's license is mandatory.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. This position may be occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.WORK ENVIRONMENTSpecial working conditions cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, working outdoors, warehouses that are not climate controlled, continually working in the elements, etc. Job will require the ability to be away from home some evenings and riding in a car for several hours per day.
