Role Overview
As a Digital Asset Manager at turn, you'll oversee our digital asset library, ensuring assets are organized, accessible, and utilized effectively. Your role will involve managing and structuring our digital repository, supporting users, and enhancing asset management systems.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Asset Management:
Develop and implement strategies for the organization, storage, and retrieval of digital assets.
Create and maintain a structured repository, ensuring assets are categorized, tagged, and easily searchable.
Manage the lifecycle, including acquisition, metadata management, and archiving or deletion as necessary.
Asset Organization and Metadata:
Establish and enforce metadata standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Collaborate with various departments to gather and input relevant metadata for new and existing assets.
Monitor and audit the digital asset library for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards.
User Support and Training:
Train and support staff on management systems and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to access, retrieval, and usage.
System Management:
Oversee the operation and maintenance of management systems, including system upgrades and integration with other tools and platforms.
Evaluate and recommend new tools or technologies to enhance the management process.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with creative, marketing, and content teams to understand their asset needs and ensure timely access to required materials.
Coordinate with IT and other relevant departments to ensure system reliability and security.
Compliance and Governance:
Ensure compliance with copyright laws, licensing agreements, and other legal requirements related to digital assets.
Develop and enforce policies and procedures to safeguard intellectual property and sensitive information.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Digital Media, Library Science, or a related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) in digital asset management, media management, or a related role.
Proficiency with digital asset management software (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, Widen, Brandfolder) and related tools.
Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support users effectively.
Familiarity with metadata standards and digital asset lifecycle management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in digital asset management or a related field.
Experience with data analytics and reporting tools.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
Knowledge of copyright laws and intellectual property rights concerning digital content.
Additional Details:
DAM System: Google Drive for storing assets, unless a better option is identified.
Digital Assets: Includes all design, 3D renders, marketing materials, and internal documents. The Digital Asset Manager will be constructing the architecture for our digital database.
