Concrete Superintendent

Job Description The Patch Group is a commercial general contractor that operates out of Lafayette, LA. We specialize in turnkey commercial foundations, framing and disaster recovery services throughout south Louisiana.We are looking for a competent Concrete Superintendent to help with the planning and execution of the daily tasks associated with our concrete field operations. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.ResponsibilitiesWork with jobsite superintendents and crew members to execute daily work plansAssist the superintendent with managing and scheduling of subcontractors, suppliers, and employeesLayout site work based on review of drawings and specificationsMaintain safe working practices and conditions at all timesOversee all activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curingDivide concrete construction projects into different stages and evaluate how much labor and materials are required for each stageResolve all problems that may affect project quality and completionConsult blueprints, drawings, and plans to ensure that concrete structures are accurately placed and installedDelegate tasks to concrete laborers and provide overall guidanceMaintain accurate records of the number of hours worked and the number of materials for each projectEnsure that formwork and shoring are erected, supported, and dismantled based on engineering design and drawingsInspect concrete after the formwork and shoring has been removed and instruct concrete laborers how to correct defects and concrete roughnessJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Health insurancePaid time offExperience:Construction: 5 years (Required)Ability to Commute:Lafayette, LA 70508 (Required)Ability to Relocate:Lafayette, LA 70508: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
