Event Banquet Manager / Floor Manager (Harry's + Historic Hofheimer Building)

Harry's at Hofheimer is seeking a highly motivated Event Banquet Manager / Floor Manager to oversee both event operations and front-of-house (FOH) service. This dual-role position is responsible for executing seamless events while also leading daily restaurant floor operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences.This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, enjoys managing teams, and is passionate about delivering top-tier service.Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Banquet ManagementLead execution of all events, including setup, service, and breakdownManage event timelines and ensure all elements (catering, AV, décor) are in placeProvide on-site leadership during events, resolving issues as they ariseEnsure exceptional hospitality and guest satisfaction throughout each eventOversee post-event breakdown and restoration of the venueFloor Management (FOH Operations)Oversee daily FOH operations, including opening and closing proceduresManage service flow, table turns, and overall pace to maximize efficiencyCoordinate reservations and guest flow with host and kitchen teamsMaintain ambiance standards (music, lighting, cleanliness, etc.)Ensure consistent execution of service standards and SOPsStaff Leadership & DevelopmentRecruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise FOH and event staffLead pre-shift meetings to communicate priorities and updatesProvide real-time coaching, feedback, and conflict resolutionMonitor staff performance, attendance, and completion of responsibilitiesFoster a positive, team-oriented, service-driven cultureGuest Experience & HospitalityEngage with guests to ensure a memorable and welcoming experienceHandle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues promptlyUphold a strong guest-first philosophy across all service areasOperations & Financial OversightManage and monitor POS systems (Toast preferred)Oversee cash handling, drawer distribution, and nightly reconciliationEnsure accountability and protection of company assetsSupport development and refinement of operational proceduresVenue Management & InventoryMaintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all FOH and event spacesConduct regular walkthroughs to uphold presentation standardsManage event-related inventory and suppliesOrder and restock inventory as neededSafety & ComplianceEnsure adherence to all safety and operational regulationsMaintain a safe environment for guests and staffImplement and oversee emergency and risk management proceduresQualifications5+ years of experience in hospitality or restaurant managementExperience in both event management and FOH operations preferredStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and perform under pressureFamiliarity with POS systems (Toast a plus)Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidaysWhat We're Looking ForA hands-on leader comfortable managing both events and the restaurant floorDetail-oriented and highly organizedStrong problem-solver with a proactive mindsetPassionate about hospitality and team leadershipWhy Join Us?Opportunity to lead both events and daily operationsFast-paced, team-oriented environmentGrowth potential within a dynamic hospitality concept
