Roles and ResponsibilitiesManage Technical Design workload and timelines to ensure team is meeting calendared deadlines
Provide leadership to Technical Design team REVIEWS / FEEDBACK / DELEGATE
Create standard best practice to ensure new suppliers have been properly qualified and vetted from a fit and quality point of view
Create structured process and flow with design and development teams to ensure graded measurement charts are correct in all supplier tech packs and validated in Centric. Enact efficiencies and monitor.
Create and implement best practice for tolerances and grade rules when creating new blocks and evaluating current blocks.
Drive, manage and maintain structure and consistent execution of fit sessions, communication, and next steps for all fittings
Hold vendors accountable for sample evaluation process and fit correction implementation.
Build and maintain WIP documentation. Adds, Drops, Changes to track work load and efficiency.
Collaborate with product development on timelines and manage detailed T&A to ensure critical deadlines are met in order to maintain production calendars.
Provide guidance on how to drive improvement to all Women's and Men's current Blocks / Fits
Collaborate with design and development to research and provide fit suggestions when new categories are added
Work cross functionally with design and product development partners, for all divisions, to establish quality standards for all product categories
Create and implement onboarding guide for a cohesive partnership across all suppliers. Maintain in vendor manual.
Create (in partnership with leadership) and drive technical design growth strategies
Collaborate in wear test and care test selection and the execution of samples and tests
Research and remain up-to-date on fit trends
Technical Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)Strong technical knowledge for product manufacturing, evaluating patterns, and revising / building patterns
Knowledge of product creation calendar timeline and able to work against deadlines
Proficient in PLM system(s) CENTRIC
Proficient in patternmaking system(s), BROWZWEAR, and understanding how to make necessary updates
Highly Proficient in Microsoft Applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Ability to clearly communicate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical, and impactful manner
Ability to coach / lead and collaborate at all organizational levels
Ability to travel, domestically and internationally
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Deadline-driven with a strong sense of urgency
Strong team player, knowledge of cross-functional team accountabilities and requirements preferred, including design, materials, sourcing, merchandising, and quality assurance
Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree or technical trade school and / or equivalent
Minimum 10 years' experience in Development / Technical Design/ Patternmaking
Minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership capacity
