Transportation Project Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Transportation Project Manager to join our team in East Lansing, MI. This role offers a unique blend of office and remote work, requiring presence in the office three days a week, while allowing for remote work two days a week. You will become an integral part of our established Transportation group, working on diverse projects that span roadways, highways, and civil site design.Role and ResponsibilitiesLead and manage project teams in planning, designing, and executing transportation infrastructure projects.Engage with various clients, including state and county transportation departments and municipal entities, to foster strong relationships.Oversee design phases for roadways, highways, and interstates, ensuring projects meet specifications from preliminary to final design.Create detailed plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates, ensuring adherence to project requirements.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including hydraulic, traffic, structures, and environmental experts, to deliver comprehensive project solutions.Support the development of proposals for new projects and ensure strategic positioning for project acquisition.Mentor and supervise team members to ensure efficient project delivery and high-quality outcomes.Manage project documentation and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders. QualificationsBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or higher is required.Over 10 years of progressive experience in designing and delivering Michigan transportation projects, particularly with MDOT.Professional Engineer (PE) license in Michigan is mandatory.Proficiency in MicroStation and Open Roads Designer is essential.Strong verbal and written communication skills.
