COMPENSATION & BENEFITS INFO BELOW.About the RoleThis top GC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a Data Center project in Texas. For this project you will work onsite in the Midland, Texas area 3 weeks, then from your home office 1 week. Airfare home and travel expenses are covered and a generous per diem is available. As an APM, you’ll help take ownership of large‑scale data center builds, overseeing administrative and technical operations onsite. You’ll drive schedule certainty, maintain quality and commissioning standards, and ensure seamless coordination across trades—especially MEP partners. This role will also assist the Commissioning Manager, ensuring that the customer’s commissioning agent (CxA) adheres to the critical construction schedule, integrates properly with project delivery milestones, and maintains quality and coordination throughout the commissioning lifecycle.Responsibilities:• Work with the Sr. PM & Project Executive to construct a project schedule from start to finish.• Coordinate with MEP trades, vendors, and the client’s Commissioning Agent to facilitate timely and integrated commissioning phases (Levels 1–5).• Track progress against commissioning deliverables and escalate risks or delays to leadership.• Maintain a clear log of CX issues, punch list items, and closeout documentation.• Review subcontractor/vendor proposals, compare proposals.• Prepare and run weekly progress meeting.• Promote safety and ensure that the project adheres to our safety requirements.Qualifications:• 3-7 years of professional experience• 3+ years of experience in MEP construction, commissioning, or critical systems projects.• BA/BS degree required• Mastery of reading blueprint drawings/specifications• Previous Experience in an APM role• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and AdobeAbout the CompanyOur client is a Virginia based GC with a strong and expanding presence in the VA, MD, and DC areas.
