As part of a thoughtful succession plan, we are seeking a Director of Finance & Accounting who will play a critical role in shaping the company’s financial future and be developed into a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position in the coming years.Position Summary:The Director of Finance & Accounting will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations while providing strategic insight to support continued growth. This role requires a dynamic professional with strong business acumen who can translate financial data into actionable strategies and partner effectively across departments.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage all accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and complianceSupervise and mentor a team of 5 accounting/finance professionalsDevelop, analyze, and present financial reports and forecasts to executive leadershipProvide strategic financial guidance to support business planning and decision-makingPartner closely with operations and sales teams to understand business drivers and improve performanceParticipate in executive-level leadership meetings and contribute to overall company strategyOversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controlsSupport long-term planning initiatives as part of the company’s succession strategyQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)CPA and/or MBA strongly preferredProven experience in financial leadership, ideally in a growing or multi-entity organizationStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial results and communicate insights clearlyDemonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships with non-financial stakeholdersLeadership experience with a track record of developing teamsPreferred Attributes:Hands-on, business-minded leader who enjoys understanding operations beyond the numbersStrong communicator with the ability to influence decision-making at the executive levelForward-thinking and adaptable in a growth-oriented environmentAdditional Information:Position is commutable from Columbia, Jefferson City, and the Lake of the OzarksRelocation assistance may be considered for candidates with strong ties to the Mid-Missouri area
