Early Childhood Teacher

Queens Hebrew Academy - We are seeking a creative and passionate lead teacher for our Early Childhood program. The candidate should have the following attributes:Have enthusiasm to teach young childrenA desire to learnAbility to create a loving, nurturing and warm environmentA desire to work alongside a great teamFamiliarity with planning lessons with support providedUnderstanding the basics of motor child developmentAbility to develop a child centered classroom where children learn through play and explorationResponsible for child and classroom assessment activities including recordkeeping,, child observations and portfolio developmentAbility to communicate with parents, work collaboratively with colleagues and possess good interpersonal skillsQualificationsPossess a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood/ Elementary Education and in the process of obtaining a Master's degreeExperience working with children under the age of six in an Early Childhood settingPossess or be on track to obtain one of the following NYS teaching certificates:Early Childhood (Birth -2)Common Branch (N-6)Students with DisabilitiesTimeThis is a school year school day positionThe school day starts at 8 AM and finishes at 3:50 with early dismissal on Fridays.Send a cover letter and resume directly to Emily Hausman, Early Childhood Coordinator
