Supervisor, Analytical Development

Overview In this role, you lead small molecule analytical development within a dynamic pharmaceutical setting, coordinating testing activities to deliver high-quality data for process development and manufacturing. You will supervise a cross-functional team in a regulated environment, ensuring timely, compliant analytical work. You’ll partner with Process Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory and Project Management to drive development programs and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role at the forefront of drug development with a clear impact on product timelines and data quality. Compensation / Benefitscompetitive benefits packageannual performance pay bonus ResponsibilitiesPartner with Process Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory and Project Management to support development programsCoordinate with manufacturing to schedule analytical testing and sample prioritizationOversee day-to-day testing to ensure compliance and timely completionReview and approve analytical data, reports, and documentationAuthor, revise or review SOPs, analytical protocols, reports, specifications, and controlled formsReview and approve electronic laboratory notebooks and data packagesOversee laboratory equipment qualification, maintenance, and readinessSupport laboratory safety initiatives and continuous improvement activitiesTroubleshoot analytical methods and investigate issues to ensure project executionProvide technical oversight of GMP environmental monitoring testing and trending Key requirementsMS (>5 years) or BS (>10 years) with related experience in analytical chemistry or quality controlStrong understanding of Analytical Development within drug developmentExperience with advanced analytical techniques (HPLC/UHPLC, LC/MS, GC, Dissolution, FTIR, UV/Vis, KF, laser diffraction)Familiarity with LC instrumentation/software (Waters, Agilent, Gilson) and instrument troubleshootingExperience in a GMP regulated analytical environmentKnowledge of ICH, FDA, and USP guidelines and their application in developmentDemonstrated supervisory or team leadership and coordination skillsAbility to prioritize tasks to meet project timelinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsleadership and people-managementcross-functional collaborationexcellent communicationHPLC/UHPLCLC/MSGC
