Inventory Systems Specialist

SummaryUnder the direction of the Inventory Manager, the Inventory Systems Specialist maintains inventory system accuracy, reporting, and data integrity while supporting procurement and operations through cross-functional analysis, process improvements, and system support that improve inventory visibility, product availability, operational efficiency, and overall profitability.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.Maintain and support inventory management systems, ERP platforms, and related reporting tools to ensure accurate inventory visibility, transaction integrity, and system performanceCreate, maintain, and audit item master data, part numbers, SKU attributes, bill of materials, replenishment parameters, and inventory-related system settingsSupport the greater procurement team with reporting tools, dashboards, system support, and data analysis that improve productivity, decision-making, and operational effectivenessDevelop and maintain inventory, procurement, and operational KPI reports related to service levels, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, aging inventory, and operational trendsAct as a cross-functional liaison representing procurement and inventory operations while partnering with warehouse, production, logistics, finance, customer service, and IT teamsAssist with reporting, analytics, and operational analysis that impact product availability, inventory investment, procurement cost, supplier quality, and overall company profitabilityIdentify and implement process improvements that streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, reduce manual effort, and enhance operational efficiencyInvestigate and resolve inventory transaction issues, report discrepancies, and operational data gaps in a timely mannerSupport procurement and inventory planning initiatives through data validation, forecasting support, trend analysis, and operational insightsAssist with ERP/WMS implementations, testing, upgrades, user training, and process compliance initiativesUtilize Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, Crystal Reports, Infor and Sage 100 to support inventory reporting, analysis, and operational visibilityProvide project-based cross-functional reporting, analytics, and administrative support for leadership and business initiativesEducation And/or ExperienceHigh School diploma required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferredKnowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory controlAbility to reconcile stock counts to report dataDatabase management skillsAbility to analyze and solve problemsAbility to prepare routine administrative paperworkClerical work, high level of computer literacy, to include Word, Excel, and OutlookPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
