In both the Allison Transmission and Allison Off-Highway Drive and Motion Systems business units, our team strives to Improve the Way the World Works.Learn more about this role and how you can begin driving your career forward!Primary Purpose of RoleBased in North America and reporting directly to Head of OEM Mobile Sales North America Off-Highway, this position will be responsible for leading the Account Management & Business Development for assigned accounts within the North America region in the pursuit of continued growth, profitability, and meeting its commitments to customers, the company and to the employees.The Off-Highway Account Manager serves as the voice of the customer, responsible for supporting and growing profitable customer relationships, communicating Allison's value proposition, and coordinating internal resources to meet customer needs. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction, support business growth, and execute account strategies.Operating within a matrixed global organization, this leader partners closely with Segment teams, Platform teams, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to expand profitable market share, drive system and platform adoption, and strengthen long-term OEM partnerships across core Off-Highway segments.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development: Support execution of customer and product growth plans within assigned accountsRelationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customersAccount Management: Manage day-to-day account activities, including coordination between customer and internal teams (engineering, operations, finance, etc.)Value Management: Support analysis of product value and competitive positioning; assist in maintaining profitabilityForecasting and Planning: Provide regular forecasts and updates for new and existing business opportunitiesCustomer & Program Execution: Coordinate with internal teams to support product launches, ongoing programs, and issue resolutionSupport achievement of sales and market objectives for assigned accountsMonitor customer performance and activity metricsAssist with accounts receivable follow-up and resolutionParticipate in customer meetings and presentations across purchasing, engineering, and operationsSupport pricing discussions and negotiationsMaintain awareness of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activityPrepare reports including forecasts, pipeline updates, and customer visit summariesSupport new product introductions and customer adoptionCompetencies and BehaviorsStrong business acumen across manufacturing, finance, marketing, sourcing, and engineeringUnderstanding of OEM business models, product development cycles, and sourcing processesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and customer relationshipsAbility to work cross-functionally in a matrix organizationProblem-solving and customer-focused mindsetStrong fact finding, analytical, and decision-making capabilitiesAbility to operate effectively across time zones and non-traditional business hoursExcellent capabilities in presentation development and Microsoft excel skillsQualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or related field required5 - 7+ years of progressive sales and business development experience3+ years leading strategic OEM accounts (preference in Off-Highway Market)PreferredBackground selling drivetrain, powertrain, motion control, or integrated systemsExperience working in highly matrixed, global organizationsTravelUp to 50% travel may be required Experience in Off-Highway, heavy equipment, or complex industrial marketsAllison Transmission is an equal opportunity employer.
