Director - Youth and Prevention Services

Compensation Range: $80,000 - $85,000 yearly commensurate with experience Benefits: We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. This money is available for tuition loan reimbursement, tuition costs, and text books. Overview:Director for Youth and Prevention Services (YPS) oversees the day-to-day operations of the YPS department and programming, including oversight of multiple grants/contracts from Federal, State, City and other funders including quality assurance, contract compliance and staff development. The Director collaborates with other program leadership, clinic staff, and departments to support Housing Works’ Ending the Epidemic initiatives. This role contributes to the development of innovative programming, the implementation of effective quality improvement projects and focus on outreach and community-based testing strategies intended to serve New York City’s most at-risk LGBTQ communities of color and other populations Responsibilities:Manage the execution of contract documents, develop project work plans and budgets, and work with the YPS management team to ensure required reporting to funders adheres to contractual requirements.Oversee testing in non-clinical settings for YPS grants/contracts including HIV, Hep C and STI testing. Ensure proper training and staff development is provided with an adequate number of testers on the team.Direct the implementation of screening tools, assessments and evidence-based interventions and collaborate with staff on drop-in activities and calendar of client events while ensuring effectiveness of activity in meeting program goals.Collaborate with Housing Works Health Centers to develop and maintain workflows for PrEP/PEP, Undetectables/Viral Load Suppression project, Medically Assisted Treatment and Hep C Treatment, STI screening and other Primary Care and Mental Health services as required by YPS populations.Supervise assigned staff and evolve professional development planning with direct reports and for staff across the department.Oversee recruitment, on-boarding, and training development for YPS staff, MSW interns, Peers and Volunteers.Work effectively with consultants including Evaluators, Trainers and other external vendors to support function and provide regular direction to ensure best use of consultant resources in achieving grant/contract deliverables.Analyze data and monitor program performance through reporting capabilities available across multiple data systems to inform strategies and identify improvements.Address client complaints by effectively working with staff to troubleshoot swiftly and assist with client grievances by working with YPS leadership and the VP for Prevention Services. Implement targeted outreach strategies by effectively managing external Housing Works partners including other Department of Health providers, NYC House Ball Community, and other community-based partners and coalitions to facilitate enrollment to Housing Works’ services.Collaborate with YPS managers and staff to develop outreach strategies with a focus on community-based testing and social media/technology to effectively reach communities .Collaborate with VP for Prevention Services to expand YPS resources by assisting with new grant applications, providing data for continuation applications, and exploring new opportunities that expand access of services in line with Housing Works’ mission.Participate actively in standing meetings, committees and work groups, alongside other site-level program leaders, to support the delivery of integrated health services as part of a safe and healing community.Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for the department and ensure compliance through quarterly reporting, staff training and consistent review of policies that may need updating or additional development.Serve as a key representative on Clinical Quality Initiative(CQI) efforts to identify and monitor quality indicators, including monthly data review and presentations.Other duties may be assigned by the VP for Prevention Services. Requirements:MPH/LMSW/LCSW/MPAMinimum 4 years program management, staff supervision, agency leadership and expertise in contract management and developing and managing budgets, community-based outreach and testing and experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team Job candidates should be aware that scammers may pose as employers and create fake job postings in order to extract personal information from individuals for financial gain.
