Job Title: LOFT High School Summer Program Coordinator (Summer LTE)Department: LOFTReports to: Assistant Director of Youth and Community DevelopmentPosition Type: Full-time, 40 hours a week, Limited Term Employee (LTE) Ends: August 14th, 2026FLSA: Non-ExemptPay: Starting at $20 an hourBenefits: IneligibleSummer Schedule: Tentative start date: June 8th, 2026The LOFT Summer Program Coordinator (Summer LTE) will help Goodman Community Center (GCC) deliver an excellent summer program to our local youth. This position will require the ability to adapt planned programming to meet our vibrant youth's needs. The LOFT Summer Program Coordinator builds and sustains relationships with students, families, area high schools, postsecondary educational organizations and institutions, and other community partners to create opportunities for Goodman youth. These opportunities may include academic tutoring, learning life skills, and college preparation.ResponsibilitiesProvide and support youth through experiential learningDevelop longstanding mentoring relationships with youth; getting to know youth as individualsCreate spaces where youth feel safe and comfortable asking questions and discussing their livesDevelop relationships with youth families, communicating regularly program updates and youth progressProvide youth with positive behavior management, conflict resolution and engagement opportunitiesEnsure programming meets center/contract/grant standards and requirementsProvide planning and hands-on support for GCC-wide events for cross departmental collaborationProvide applicable learning opportunities for GCC staff focusing on youth college and career readinessEnsure equitable processes and opportunities for staff and youth throughout employment and programPreform other job-related duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within this position's dutiesRequirementsPass Background Check (National/County Criminal, Global Watchlist, SSN Trace, Sex Offender)Valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report to be trained to drive a GCC 15- passenger vanStrong organizational, facilitating, and leadership skillsExcellent written and verbal comprehension and communicationHighly proficient in MS Word, Excel, and OutlookPreferred experience with youth employmentOccasional weekend and evening hours based on program needsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
