Job DescriptionPrimary Duties:
Administration
Support routine departmental communication and logistics for departmental meetings and announcements
Maintain SharePoint folders, distribution lists, etc.
Assist with administration, training and reporting functions for departmental Activity Tracker compliance
High level of skill in using technology solutions such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and SharePoint
Requires background in project work by data analysis, reports, data modeling, etc. with the goal of highlighting useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision making as needed
Assist with the collection and analysis of site metrics
Responsible for special projects and assignments as directed
Scheduling and Operations-
Schedule activities using multiple platforms across the department e.g. office tracker for TSR and husbandry, SharePoint, Outlook, and other scheduling software
Creates and maintains daily scheduling assignments within CM as needed
Assists with rodent census using systems
Assists with site equipment management
Procurement-
Provide support for animal ordering and approvals
Knowledge and maintenance of specialized rodent diets and enrichment items for each species
Responsible for inventory management including supply ordering and supply receipt process for the department
QualificationsMust have proven experience in an AAALAC accredited facility, preferably in the pharmaceutical Industry
Requires a basic understanding of animal facility operations
Should have significant experience with procurement programs, databases and reporting tools such as Activity Tracker, SAP, ARIBA etc.
Experience providing administrative support
Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills as well as sensitivity to handling confidential information
Must be detailed oriented, flexible and possess the ability to work under pressure
Must be a quick learner able to set and juggle priorities by handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Must have positive, can-do attitude at all times
Independently plan and execute work to meet assigned objectives
Manages own time and professional development
Demonstrated calendar management is a must
The ability to learn and apply new procedures quickly will be required
Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and manage time effectively
Good interpersonal and organization skills are essential
Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written
Pharmaceutical industry and laboratory animal experience preferred
Associates in related field required; BA/BS preferred
LATG is preferred
PMP certification is desirable
CMAR certification is desirable
