Job Summary:
The Data Manager provides data analysis, modeling design, architect, and management expertise in support of the client's Learning Services mission. As part of a Government-led Multi-Functional Team (MFT), the Data Manager supports the overall Learning Services effort by performing data analyses and translating business needs to create high-quality Business Requirements and Functional Specification documentation. Uses agile methodologies to solve most complex problems. Juggles multiple interfaces with other systems across multiple business units and considers all impacted components from an end-to-end perspective.
Essential Functions:
Applies Data Analysis, Modeling, Architect, and Management experience to support the AETC mission.
Ensures end-to-end traceability of requirements is complete.
Applies specific functional and/or business expertise to assist the development team with project deliverables.
Conducts impact analyses of technology changes on business processes and existing technology and remains competent to work at the highest technical capacity on all phases of the business systems analysis.
Assists with reviewing Test Planning and Execution strategies and creating the appropriate User-Interface Model(s) to support projects.
Assesses business workflow diagrams, assists in the technical evaluation of data models and interface design specifications, and documents and tracks issues related to data quality.
Provides technical expertise to the AETC/A3G Learning Services Operations on the design and mapping of data conversion strategies.
Participates in collaborative system and data design sessions with the user community, technical architecture resources, and development resources.
Completes agile project activities as scheduled and proactively identifies and communicates issues that may jeopardize milestones or project budget
Supports the overall AETC/A3G Learning Services Operations effort with Data Integration, Migration, and Architect services.
Reviews and analyzes learning system databases to recommend removal/deletion of old data with an understanding of Databases, Data Warehouses, and Multidimensional Databases.
Advises the Government on the work of data migration developers.
Performs other related services, as required
Maintains a valid US passport.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
8+ years of network, database, or data science experience
Must be versed in strategic policy guidance and a working knowledge of the higher headquarters offices that develop government policy affecting system configuration.
Must be capable of working collaboratively with other engineers, testers, and project leaders.
Understands DoD strategic policy and guidance regarding cloud architecture.
Must be a US Citizen capable of receiving a Common Access Card (CAC).
Maintains currency of required trainings
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize projects appropriately.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Education:
MA/MS Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Desired:
DoD experience highly desired
Experience with the development and employment of agile project management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
