Department: RetailReports to: Inventory Manager, Academy Museum StoreJob Type: Part-time – RegularJob Classification: Hourly (Non-exempt)Workplace Location: Los Angeles – Jefferson Warehouse, MuseumCompensation: $20.00 per hourSummary/ObjectiveThe Inventory Associate will play a key role in ensuring efficient inventory management and seamless fulfillment of web orders at the Academy Museum Store. In addition to pick, pack, and ship responsibilities, this position will focus on maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving and processing products, and contributing to the organization of the warehouse. The Inventory Associate will collaborate closely with the Academy Campus team to uphold quality standards and operational excellence.This position is represented by a union.Essential Functions Of The JobWeb FulfillmentFulfill customer orders in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to quality standards.Prepare and ship customer orders following established packing and shipping protocols.Manage shipments for orders involving backordered and pre-sale items.Provide support in resolving customer service issues related to web orders.Inventory ManagementPerform regular cycle counts and inventory counts to ensure accuracy. Assist in yearly inventory counts at the Academy Museum Store and Warehouse. Receive and process incoming products, verifying shipments against packing lists.Conduct quality checks on merchandise and report damages or discrepancies.Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using inventory management systems.Label products accurately and efficiently.Assist with markdowns and damage procedures. Warehouse OrganizationAssist in organizing the warehouse to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.Work under the supervision of the Academy Campus team to optimize storage and workflow.Additional ResponsibilitiesSupport the Retail and Visitor Services Management teams with special projects and events.Required CompetenciesA high school diploma or equivalent certificate of completion.Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail warehouses, inventory management, or e-commerce fulfillment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.Strong communication and teamwork skills.A commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with inventory management systems is a plus.Physical DemandsAbility to move and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs.Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods. Comfortable working in a warehouse and stockroom environment.Work EnvironmentInside the WarehouseTravel: The Inventory Associate will need to travel to the Academy Museum Store to assist with Inventory 3-4 times a month.Required Vaccination: Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required, including any booster vaccinations as applicable.
