Position SummaryTo provide general supervision coverage for a broad population of individuals engaged in an individualizedexercise routine and to be capable of adequate BLS emergency response. The Exercise Specialist, underthe supervision of the Medical Fitness Manager, is responsible for individualized physical fitnessassessments, exercise prescription, coverage of fitness center exercise areas as directed, equipmentcleanliness/preventative maintenance, membership and facility policy enforcement, member incentiveprograms and delivering excellent customer service at all times.EducationBachelor's degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, or related field required. Master's degree inhealth-related field or exercise sciences related field preferred. Exercise Specialist or ExercisePhysiologist specialty certification through the American College of Sports Medicine, ACE, NSCA, etc. ispreferred.ExperienceAt least one year experience in working with special populations on exercise programming and physicalfitness testing.Skills• Current BLS course completion card - AHA Healthcare Provider/AED Current BLS.• Effective group process skills.• Effective oral and written communication skills to express ideas clearly.
