Job Title: Laser Engraver – Temp-to-Hire OpportunityJob DescriptionThis temporary laser engraver role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while supporting quality production through precise laser marking of metal parts. You will operate laser engraving equipment, interpret blueprints and customer specifications, and ensure accurate, high-quality markings on components. The position starts as a short-term assignment with the potential to transition into a fabricator role, depending on future openings and performance.ResponsibilitiesOperate a laser engraver to etch part numbers and other markings onto various metal parts with a high level of precision.Interpret blueprints and customer specifications to ensure correct engraving content, location, and orientation.Align and position parts properly for engraving to achieve accurate and consistent results.Follow all safety procedures while operating the laser marker machine and working on the production floor.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility standards.Assist in other areas of quality production as needed to support team and workflow requirements.Support general production activities, including basic data entry related to production or quality documentation.Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed to ensure timely movement of parts and products.Provide courteous and professional customer service support when interacting with internal or external stakeholders related to production and quality.Essential SkillsDemonstrated high attention to detail and ability to produce work with a high level of precision.Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with production machinery and tools.Ability to operate a laser engraver or willingness to learn laser engraving equipment under guidance.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications.Capability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere strictly to safety procedures.Strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.Positive, reliable attitude and willingness to support various production and quality tasks as needed.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in general production or manufacturing environments.Familiarity with quality assurance processes.Exposure to shipping and receiving functions in a production setting.Basic data entry skills for recording production or quality information.Customer service experience when working with internal teams or external partners.Interest in developing skills that could lead to a future fabricator role.Why Work Here?You will join a climate-controlled manufacturing environment where you can build practical experience with production and quality processes. You will work on a first-shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The environment includes laser engraving equipment, general production tools, and quality assurance stations, with an emphasis on maintaining a clean, organized workspace. You will follow established safety procedures while working around machinery and production areas, and you will collaborate closely with production and quality teams in a structured, process-driven setting.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Statesville, NC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
