Take your next step with Saulsbury Industries!Location: Fleet Office / Yard - Odessa TXType: Full Time - In Office (M-F 8-5pm)SummaryThe position of DOT/ Fleet Specialist is responsible for the general upkeep and overall communication of the Saulsbury vehicle fleet. This includes the generation of monthly reports, management of vehicle inspections and registrations, along with other duties listed below.Responsibilities/DutiesManage the general communication of the Saulsbury Vehicle FleetGenerate weekly reports to communicate scheduled and preventive maintenance, recalls, annual general, State, and Federal Registration renewal, maintenance costs, and fuel usageGenerate monthly reports to management to communicate active, idle, and downed vehicles along with their mileageCoordinate with Drivers, Distribution Facilities, and Projects on obtaining all documentation for annual/DOT inspections as well as State and Federal Registrations for filing and retentionCommunicate with Enterprise Fleet Maintenance regarding any aspects of Saulsbury Fleet Vehicles that fall under the Full or Managed Maintenance ProgramWork with the Risk Management, HSE and HR departments in identifying undocumented vehicle damages and non-work related fuel chargesManage the assignment of all Fuel Cards for equipment and Saulsbury Fleet Vehicles Ensure all Fuel Cards are sentWork closely with the DOT Compliance Officer on all tasksSupports all Fleet Management groups when needed (Vehicle Fleet, DOT, Equipment)Manage Fleet GeoTab Watchdog reportsVehicle assignment information (who gets what type of vehicles)Vehicle swaps needed in the fieldApproved Vendor’s for various repair types for vehicle fleetCommunicate upcoming registration needsProvide warehouses with GeoTab tracking devisesVehicle reports to ManagementManagement and replacement of Fuel Cards/Maintenance cardsTracking and scheduling of maintenance needed in the fieldManage Vehicle Fleet RecallsRecord retention about Saulsbury’s Vehicle Fleet, to include Tool Vans Vehicles, Trailers, etc.Sale/Disposing of Fleet assetsOther duties as assigned by ManagementQualificationsTwo (2) or more years of experience working in fleet or DOT administration or office administration.Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skills in Office programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPointHave a high school diploma or GED equivalentPossess valid drivers’ license with a good driving recordTeam work and Communication SkillsSafety RequirementsOn a continual basis, promotes an awareness of environmental, health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment and ensures compliance with all accompany policiesAbility to pass drug test as mandated by the Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drug programMust attend and successfully complete Saulsbury Industries safety training educationAttends safety meetings and specialty training as directed by managementAttends various training classes as may be assigned by managementPerform related duties and responsibilities as requiredAbility to take needed safety precautions in performing the workPhysical RequirementsEye-hand coordinationDepth perceptionAbility to see things clearly that are beyond arm’s reach (far visual acuity)Ability to see small detailAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to reach above head while sitting or standingAbility to reach below knees while standingAbility to stoop or kneelAbility to work 50 or more hours each week
