The Extended School Year Program is provided for students with disabilities when recommended through the PPT process. The Extended School Year Teachers will work in person with students.Special Education-certified teachers are preferred, and general education teachers will be considered.The Extended School Year program will run July 6 - July 31, Monday- Thursday, from 9:00 AM -1:00 PM. Staff will be expected to be on-site from 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM to assist with arrival and dismissal.Qualifications:Connecticut Special Education Certification (165, 065 or 265) is preferred; general education teachers will be consideredAbility to provide appropriate instruction following students' IEPs and programsAbility to positively engage students in the learning process and support students' social and emotional needsAbility to collaborate with related service providers as appropriateAbility to collect and use data to measure progress and make instructional decisionsEvidence of ability to work cooperatively with administrators, teachers, and paraprofessionalsAbility to communicate effectively with students and parentsSalary:Per the Ledyard Education Association agreementTo Apply:Applications will only be accepted online.
