CNC Process Developer/Engineer
Springfield Manufacturing (www.springfield-mfg.com), located outside Charlotte in
Clover, SC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer and CNC Programmer to join our growing business of providing technically high-end CNC part processing solutions to our valued customers.
Springfield Manufacturing performs and provides advanced manufacturing technology solutions to the aerospace, defense, energy, and industrial markets. The company operates in a clean, air-conditioned environment with CNC capabilities that include waterjet processing, grinding, laser additive manufacturing, EDM processing, milling and other specialized processes.
Responsibilities:
Multi axis CNC posting and programming from customer provided CAD models
CAD design of fixturing/tooling to integrate with programmed processes
Take projects to the shop floor to set-up, dry run and prove out developed programs and/or tooling. Lead the project through to customer approval
Support quoting of new projects with model interrogation, development and cycle time estimates
Interact with customers to determine requirements, manage projects, facilitate changes
Support Manufacturing Engineering efforts related to continuous improvement and configuration management
Support the company’s AS9100 Aerospace and ISO Quality Management
System
Qualifications:
5+ years experience in manufacturing process development or engineering. Multi-axis CNC programming experience (G code preferred)
Strong familiarity with CAD/CAM software (Solidworks, MasterCam, SurfCam, NX/UG, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret a blueprint and write and speak technically with an understanding of GD&T
Experience in a manufacturing environment and can take developed programs to the shop floor
Must be self-motivated and driven to achieving goals, yet a strong and positive team player, able to motivate and work with cross-functional team members
Must be Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Must be a US citizen
