WHAT YOU'LL DO The Human Resources Generalist provides support in all functional areas of human resources including, recruitment and employment, HRIS and personnel records, job evaluation, compensation management, and benefits administration. Collects and reviews confidential HR data, processes and prepares paperwork for submission to internal and external venues, and regularly communicates with employees on most HR matters. Essential Functions and Basic Duties Leads the hiring process for assigned positions and departments: coordinates recruitment and hiring programs, including job postings, screening resumes, advertising, and working with outside resources for the fulfillment of open positions and candidate placement. Works in tandem with management in the interviewing and selection process. Prepare online new hire paperwork for newly hired personnel. New Hire Onboarding: Leads new hires through the onboarding process from offer to the first day of employment and provides regular contact and ongoing support. Works with department managers to prepare 30, 60, and 90-day onboarding plans. Conducts human resources new hire orientation, including acclimating employees to the company, reviewing benefits, policies and procedures, and ensuring that appropriate records and information are collected. Guides hiring managers on steps necessary to prepare for a new hire, and for appropriate onboarding activities during the first 90 days of employment. Helps to create a welcoming and positive experience for new hires. Runs reports related to company rosters, time off accruals, employee recognition program, and training programs. Helps maintain the HR SharePoint site and org charts. Works with HR and company leadership to create, drive, maintain, and manage strategic HR projects; participate in developing departmental goals, objectives, and solutions. Works with benefits providers on the benefits enrollment process, including annual open enrollment, Acts as a liaison between benefits providers and employees to assist in questions and any claim issue resolution. Partners with benefits, payroll, and HRIS providers to maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations. Answers questions and provides support to employees in filing disability and worker’s compensation claims. Aids employees in their understanding of company policies such as FMLA and Leaves of Absence. Provide support and guidance to management on employee relations matters, disciplinary issues, and necessary employee investigations; escalates as necessary to HR Manager. Acts as point of contact for general employee questions and concerns; promote welcoming and inclusive employee-focused culture. Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS systems, and generating reports using varies software applications. Some analytical ability to gather and summarize data, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work. Ability to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing. Ability and willingness to speak to individuals and small groups of employees. Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously. Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in meeting department and company goals.
