Field Welder/Fabricators

Job Description D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking skilled Field Welders / Fabricators to support installation, repair, and modification work inside active sawmill facilities. This position focuses primarily on stick welding (SMAW) and field fabrication of handrails, catwalks, structural supports, and access platforms.The ideal candidate is comfortable working in industrial environments, capable of reading field measurements, and able to fabricate safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform stick welding (SMAW) in field environmentsFabricate and install handrails, catwalks, and access platformsMeasure, cut, fit, and assemble structural steel componentsInterpret basic fabrication drawings and field sketchesModify existing structures to meet safety and operational requirementsWork safely inside active sawmill environmentsMaintain welding equipment and fabrication toolsFollow company safety procedures and site-specific safety requirementsCoordinate with supervisors, mill personnel, and project teamsTravel to job sites as requiredRequired Qualifications2+ years of stick welding (SMAW) experience (industrial preferred)Experience fabricating handrails, catwalks, or similar steel structuresAbility to work safely in active industrial/sawmill environmentsAbility to read tape measures and perform accurate field measurementsAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights when requiredReliable transportation to job sitesStrong attention to safety and detailPreferred QualificationsExperience working in sawmills or lumber processing facilitiesExperience with structural steel layout and installationAbility to read fabrication drawings or blueprintsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationExperience operating basic fabrication equipment (grinders, torches, magnetic drills, etc.)Work EnvironmentThis position requires work in:Active sawmill production environmentsElevated work areas and catwalksOutdoor and indoor industrial conditionsHot, cold, dusty, and high-noise environmentsProper PPE is required at all times.Physical RequirementsCandidates must be able to:Lift and carry materials up to 50 lbsClimb ladders and access elevated platformsStand for extended periodsWork in confined or tight fabrication areas when required
