Senior Architect/Project Manager

OverviewInteractive Resources, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Architect / Project Manager to join our team in a key leadership role. This position combines client leadership, project oversight, and technical expertise across a range of institutional and public‐sector projects. We are looking for an accomplished architect who values design quality, technical rigor, and long‐term client relationships, and who may be interested in a future leadership role within the firm.Job Type: Full‐time, exemptWork Location: Hybrid – 117 Park Place, Richmond, CA 94801RequirementsLicensure as an Architect (California preferred)12+ years of professional experience, including leadership rolesStrong background in renovation, rehabilitation, or public‐sector workExpertise in technical detailing, particularly building envelope systemsExperience managing consultant teams and agency review processesExcellent communication and organizational skillsInterest in mentorship and/or developing junior staffA collaborative, mission‐driven approach to practiceExperience with historic resources, campus environments, government, or university clients is highly valuedTools and Technical SkillsRevit experience is required – the ability to create and modify drawings, views, and schedulesMicrosoft Suite, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, and Ajera Deltek experience preferredProject LeadershipServe as project architect and/or project manager on multiple active assignmentsGuide projects through all phases: planning, design, documentation, permitting, and construction administrationCoordinate with the client, internal staff, and consultant teamTechnical ExcellenceLead technical development of building renovation, envelope, and roofing projectsApply strong knowledge of codes, detailing, and constructabilitySupport quality control across project deliverablesClient Relationship SupportMaintain and build client trust through responsiveness, professionalism, and sound judgmentSupport delivery of on‐call contract delivery and client coordinationRepresent the firm in meetings and community‐facing workMentorship & CollaborationSupport and mentor emerging architects and technical staffContribute to an office culture of teamwork, shared standards, and accountabilityProvide leadership during project staffing and coordinationGrowth & OpportunityParticipate in business development efforts and proposal supportHelp expand IR's capacity for institutional and rehabilitation workPotential future advancement into senior leadership based on interest and performanceWork ExpectationsManage multiple projects concurrently (typically 2–5 depending on scope)Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $100,000 – $140,000 depending on experienceWe offer comprehensive benefits including a 401(k) with employer matching, health insurance, generous paid time off, and potential performance‐based bonuses.CompanyInteractive Resources, Inc.
