This position works closely with the Treasurer, Superintendent, and Administration to ensure timely and accurate compensation for all employees.Preferred qualifications:Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalentExperience in fiscal operations (accounting, business, etc.)Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple prioritiesMaintains attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational skillsExperience in payroll softwareProficient in computer applications (Google Suite)Strong service orientation and communication skillsExperience working in a school settingEssential duties and responsibilities:Process payroll reports for all employees including withholdings, benefits, deductions, direct deposit, and leave dataResponsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reportsFiles all city, state, and federal taxesPrepares employee W-2 formsProcesses union dues, severance pay, salary adjustments, contractual paymentsPrepares and submits SERS/STRS reports and forms on web-based platformVerifies salary calculations and Board approvalsMaintains student activity accountingSecures substitute coverage for classified employees and records attendanceProcesses new hires, terminations, leaves, and retroactive paymentsPerforms other duties as assigned by the TreasurerWorking conditions:Office environment with regular interaction with staff and administratorsPrimary posting contact:Dr. James Rook, Superintendent (james.rook@epschools.k12.oh.us)
