Paralegal - Insurance Defense

We represent corporations and individuals across a wide range of civil liability and insurance matters, and we pride ourselves on delivering thoughtful, creative, and results‑driven legal strategies.About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of insurance defense experience and be comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. You will support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation and play a key role in case preparation, organization, and client communication. Key ResponsibilitiesDiscovery Preparation — Draft and respond to discovery demands; organize and track document production.Motion Practice — Prepare, assemble, and file motions; ensure compliance with court rules.Court Procedures — Navigate NYSCEF and e‑filing systems; manage filings, conferences, and scheduling.Regulatory Compliance — Monitor deadlines and ensure adherence to state and federal requirements.Legal Research — Conduct research to support litigation strategy and case development.Fact Investigation — Gather and analyze case facts to assist with negotiations and case evaluation.Client & Vendor Communication — Communicate professionally with clients, insurance professionals, experts, and vendors.Correspondence Drafting — Prepare routine letters regarding IMEs, authorizations, deposition scheduling, and document requests.Calendar & Case Management — Manage multiple attorney and client calendars; track deadlines and milestones.Document Management — Utilize document management systems to search, organize, and properly name/save case materials.Billing Support — Assist with general billing practices and time entry.Team Collaboration — Work closely with attorneys and staff in a supportive, collaborative environment.QualificationsMinimum 2 years of insurance defense paralegal experienceStrong writing, organizational, and communication skillsProficiency with NYSCEF, e‑filing, and litigation support systemsAbility to manage multiple priorities with diligence and accuracyA proactive, team‑oriented mindsetCompensation & BenefitsSalary Range: (commensurate with experience)Bonuses: Annual and quarterly bonuses based on productivityBenefits: Competitive health and dental plans, 401(k), and additional firm benefits
