The Company’s portfolio of core technology and products offer unique capabilities in the areas of high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, cyber security as well as remote sensing applications.Position DescriptionQCi is expanding its IT operations team and seeks a skilled System and NetworkAdministrator to handle endpoint support (MacOS, Windows, Linux), manage GoogleWorkspace/Microsoft 365 environments, design/deploy networking and AWSinfrastructure, implement security measures including firewalls, endpointsecurity software, and vulnerability patching, and assist product developmentwith secure customer access to our products.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSystem, Network and Cloud AdministratorProvide technical support to all QCi employees across a range of technologies including:Endpoint Operating System help (MacOS, Windows, Linux)Email, Messaging, Authentication and popular 3rd party applicationsBe the primary liaison with our laptop support vendor who provide 24x7 employee device support and logisticsWork with our team in supporting Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 EnvironmentsDesign, procure and deploy QCi networking infrastructure for office, lab and other facilitiesPurchase, deploy, and monitor all network perimeter devices such as firewalls and analogous AWS infrastructureMonitor and manage our AWS activityImplement and test disaster recovery scenarios for key QCi systems (gitlab, NAS, software applications, etc)Security AdministrationSpecify, acquire and deploy perimeter security measures for office and AWS cloud (firewalls, api endpoints, etc)Incident management and responseMonitor for known vulnerabilities and patch QCi systems in a timely mannerSupport QCi Product DevelopmentDevise solutions to deploy secure solutions for customer access to QCi DIRAC, qRNG and other devicesWork with QCi software and hardware teams, assist with product security hardening at the design and testing phasesSupport, manage, update source code repository manage systems in NJ and AWS (GitLab)Work with Sales when requested to respond to customer queries relating to security and compliance questionsSupport our Web team with their requirements in deploying customer facing web pagesRequired Skills And ExperienceEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field preferred but not required5+ years in IT or related fieldTechnical and Professional ExpertiseCybersecurity, Network Administration, Dev Ops, and Cloud/ System Administration or any combination of these skills is strongly preferred.SkillsLinux and Windows System AdministrationAbility to manage existing AWS environments, EC2 instances and user administrationExperience with modern devops infrastructure, tools and processes (git, gitlab, CI/CD)Backup and Recovery, Disaster Recovery Planning and testing experienceFamiliarity with SOC-2, CIS, SOX and other Compliance FrameworksLAN and WAN Networking experience. Layer 2 Switches, Firewalls, VLANs, cable management and troubleshooting skills.Multi-protocol NAS filer experience (SMB, NFS and S3)Management experience with DNS, Registrar Interactions, Email/SMTP and other core Internet systemsAuthentication, VPNs, Identity Providers, and Certificate ManagementExperience installing and supporting 3rd party applicationsAbility to work well with our technical and business staffIncumbent(s) in this position may be required to perform other duties and special assignments not specifically stated above.
