The Day Habilitation Specialist supports the skill development for young adults. This team member will provide or assist with care needs and supervision in a group setting.Schedule/Where You’ll BeUp to $18/hour Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm Full-time, benefits eligible role Johnston, IAHow You’ll Make an ImpactProvide direct care and assist assigned individuals with accessing the community and increasing independence with communication, socialization and daily living skillsImplement individual’s care plans and provide ongoing feedback regarding additional or changing care plan needs to child’s supervisor or Day Hab SupervisorRequired to become certified for medication administration, seizures, and g-tube feedings as well as other specialized trainings as identifiedAssure timely and accurate documentationWhat You’ll Need:Basic Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old, pass criminal and child abuse background checks, and have a high school diploma preferred. Driving & Transportation: Must qualify as a ChildServe authorized driver, including passing motor vehicle and car safety checks, providing valid license and insurance, and obtaining a chauffeur’s license if required. Skills & Experience: Strong oral and written communication skills for accurate documentation; experience with or knowledge of children with special health care needs preferred.
