Working knowledge of: enterprise servers; network and communications equipment and related system security requirements; Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Protection Systems (IPS), firewalls, network security policies, anti-virus, and anti-spam applications; disaster recovery and business continuity measures; Oracle or equivalent relational databases; data privacy standards, requirements, and policies; data and information; related security requirements, including campus, state, federal, and Homeland Security measures; and the change management process for systems and applications. Knowledge of current state and federal laws and regulations regarding information security and information technology security. Possess solid constructive listening skills. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to: comprehend strategic plans and directions and integrate them into daily operations through information technology application implementations; comprehend institutional needs and requirements through the preparation of needs analysis and feasibility studies that reflect desired outcomes; and work with external vendors; coordinate multiple projects and tasks without the loss of integrity to work, as well as organizing, monitoring, and guiding others to ensure desired outcomes are achieved; act decisively under stressful situations.
