Position Type:Support Staff/Lunchroom SupervisorDate Posted:3/27/2026Location:D41 Kindergarten CenterDistrict:Glen Ellyn School District 41Glen Ellyn School District 41 is seeking a Lunchroom/Playground Supervisor for Kindergarten CenterWork Year: 10 MonthsRate of Pay: $22.50 Per HourGeneral Responsibilities: The lunchroom/playground supervisor supervises students during the lunch/recess period to ensure the health and safety of all students.Knowledge and Skills:Requires an understanding of confidentialityAbility to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with students and staffAbility to supervise, organize, and manage large groups of studentsFluency in English in order to communicate verbally and writingMaintain regular attendance and punctualityFluency in Spanish (preferred, but not required)Performance Responsibilities:Supervises students during the lunch/recess periodSupervises appropriate indoor activities when weather is inclementAids injured or ill students as necessaryReports all student injuries, accidents, illnesses and discipline issues to the appropriate authority immediately, or as soon as reasonably possibleMaintains cleanliness in the lunchroomAssists in cleaning tables and floor for next activityPerforms other related tasks as assigned by the building administratorDirects movement of children to and from playground and/or lunchroomFollows established procedures for entry, food purchase, seating, and waste disposalSupervises and assists in the disposal of wasteCirculates among the children during the lunch period to provide assistance when needed or to resolve minor issuesMaintains confidentiality about students and about staffNotifies custodian of any large spills and provides assistance in keeping the table tops cleanWorks cooperatively with others including food service staff and other lunchroom/playground supervisorsIs familiar with fire and tornado exit procedures, crises management and assists with implementation if necessaryPerforms other duties as assignedEducation: High school diploma or equivalent requiredPlease apply online at www.d41.orgEmployment Expectations:All District 41 employees are expected to maintain high standards in their school relationships, to demonstrate integrity and honesty, to be considerate and cooperative, and to maintain professional relationships with students, parents, staff members, and others.In filling a vacancy the district's first concern is to maintain and improve the service it renders to childrenAttachment(s):Lunchroom Supervisor Job Description
