Job DescriptionOur client, a large and well-established utility company in the Washington, DC area, is seeking a SharePoint Specialist to support a critical initiative focused on modernizing and optimizing their SharePoint Online environment. This role will partner closely with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS), Operations, IT, and cross-functional teams to enhance collaboration, organization, and governance across multiple SharePoint sites.This is a high-impact opportunity to drive improvements in user experience, content management, and compliance within a complex enterprise environment. The position offers a hybrid schedule, with 3 days onsite in Springfield, VA.ResponsibilitiesAssess existing SharePoint sites, including structure, permissions, and content organizationDesign and implement improved site architecture, navigation, and taxonomyConfigure document libraries, metadata, views, and retention policiesBuild and enhance workflows, forms, and automation using Power AutomateEstablish governance standards for site ownership, permissions, and content lifecycle managementLead content migration and reorganization efforts with minimal disruption to end usersDevelop user-friendly documentation, job aids, and training materialsCollaborate with IT, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to ensure alignmentEnsure compliance with internal security, records management, and data governance policiesQualificationsHands-on experience with SharePoint Online (required)Experience building and enhancing intranet or enterprise collaboration sitesStrong understanding of site architecture, permissions, and governance best practicesExperience with Microsoft 365 tools including Teams and OneDriveExperience with Power Automate (Power Apps is a plus)Familiarity with records management and compliance frameworksBachelor’s degree preferredJob Requirements4 Reasons To Join The Squires Group, Inc.
