Join our growing team supporting customer missions as a Junior Software Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia.Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science (BS) degree and 3-5 years of demonstrable experienceExperience creating applications with Java, Springboot, and Amazon Web Services for backend components, focusing on low-latency, high-throughput distributed systemsAs new systems are built, additional programming languages may be usedExperience working closely with product owners, business analysts, and other teams to translate business requirements into technical solutionsExperience analyzing and decomposing complex software systems and creating designs for scalability, testability, and performanceExperience writing custom scripts to install and configure code in EC2 instancesExperience using GitExperience using CloudFormation scriptsExperience creating RESTful APIExperience using XML, JSON and YAMLExperience creating applications/services using Java, JavaScript, and bash scriptingWorking with the team's security engineer to address, mitigate security findings stemming from system security scansExperience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL and use of SQL or PLSQLDevelop APls to Integrate systems and servicesHands-on experience with Linux (CLI)Hands on experience with scripting and JavaStrong, hands-on experience with Linux (CLI)Experience with scripting and programming languages like BASH and Python Desired QualificationsExperience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and understand key concepts like digital certificates, Certificate Authorities (CAs), Registration Authorities (RAs), key management practices, cryptographic algorithms, certificate revocation procedures, and trust modelsExperience with JenkinsExperience delivering containerized applications with services similar to Docker and KubernetesBCore is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
