Carved out from Carrier’s Fire & Security business in July 2024, Spectrum Safety Solutions is now a privately-held company under the ownership of Sentinel Capital Partners.About This RoleWe are seeking a high potential, results-oriented Senior Accountant to perform routine and complex financial accounting activities in support of Spectrum Safety Solutions’ HQ functional activities. This position will drive process improvements and provide support to management for effective business decisions while ensuring the appropriate accounting is applied and internal controls are in place. Responsible for reconciliations and balance sheet reviews within area of responsibility. Candidate must possess strong analytical skills and ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis. This position is located in Stamford, CT on-site.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform and support monthly close related activities in a timely mannerPrepare and ensure accurate journal entries, miscellaneous invoices, financial statements, and account reconciliationsReconcile sub-ledgers to general ledgersAssist with ensuring bills are paid and recorded in a timely and accurate mannerAnalyze monthly results to ensure accurate reporting for each accounting periodWork closely with business partners and support external related auditsDevelop process efficiencies and make improvements to assigned accounting processesAssist with travel related procedures, including reconciling corporate card expenses Maintain appropriate internal controlsParticipate in ad-hoc tasks/projects as needed including Basic QualificationsBachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting 5-7 years experience Self-motivated, able to work independentlyExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)Preferred QualificationsMBA, CPA/CMAJD Edwards (JDE) and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) system knowledge Location: Stamford, Connecticut (In-Person)Join our team.
