Corporate Controller (Confidential)Location: Beverly Hills, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)We are partnering with an independent entertainment company to identify a Corporate Controller to lead accounting operations and financial reporting across a dynamic, project-based environment.This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the CFO, offering the opportunity to build and enhance a best-in-class controllership function while partnering closely with executive leadership and production teams.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial ReportingOversee full-cycle accounting including general ledger, AP, AR, and reconciliationsLead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesPrepare and review financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and maintain strong internal controlsPartner with Finance on budget vs. actuals analysis and management reportingSupport divisional and project-level financial reportingProduction & Project-Based AccountingOversee accounting across multiple productions (scripted and unscripted)Partner with production teams on budget tracking and cost managementEnsure proper cost allocation and capitalization of production spendSupport tax credits, incentives, and international production considerationsCompliance & AuditManage external audits, tax filings, and third-party relationshipsEnsure compliance with federal and state regulationsOversee reporting requirements tied to credit facilities and obligationsCash ManagementMonitor cash flow across multiple entitiesPartner with leadership on funding strategies for ongoing productionsManage banking relationships and optimize liquidityTeam Leadership & SystemsLead and mentor a small accounting teamEvaluate and improve accounting systems, processes, and reporting toolsSupport ERP optimization and reporting structure enhancementsQualifications10+ years of accounting experience, including leadership experience at the Controller or senior levelStrong technical accounting and financial reporting expertiseExperience in a mid-sized or high-growth environment with full-cycle ownershipBackground in entertainment, media, or production accounting strongly preferredFamiliarity with project-based accounting, tax credits, and production financeCPA a plus but not requiredAdvanced Excel and accounting systems experienceTarget Compensation: Base salary of $190k-$220k, plus bonus, plus strong benefits
