We offer generous benefits and promote a work environment where everyone supports each other.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM ASSISTANTAs a Residential Group Home Program Coordinator with our nonprofit, you play an integral role in ensuring our group home runs smoothly. Without you, our clients wouldn't receive the top-quality care they need and our staff wouldn't get the training to help them perform at their best.Most of your day is spent working hands-on with our clients to ensure that their physical, emotional, and financial well-being is being taken care of. You also hold regular staff meetings and make sure that you are always available when your team needs help or has questions that relate to the operations of our group home. Your willingness to be flexible and remain on call is why you are an effective leader, and it brings you great satisfaction knowing you serve in such an important role with our nonprofit!This Coordinator position provides supports to 7 individuals. This home is spacious and has a beautiful space to be outside. The individuals are the best part of the job, they are funny, smart, and caring. The staffing at this program consists for a Program Coordinator, 2 Program Assistants and 10 plus DSPs.The Program Coordinator oversees all aspects of the program for people with disabilities; ensuring compliance with state and contract standards for programs and facilities is essential. The individuals in this program need assistance with high medical needs, social skills, high personal hygiene and self-care, high behavior management needs, communication, safety, recreation and leisure and various other areas, with the overall goal to to increase independence in their lives.Qualifications For a Residential Program Assistant1+ years of experience working with individuals with Developmental/intellectual disabilities1+ years of supervisory experience, which includes interviewing and hiring staff as well as conducting performance evaluations, training staff, and schedulingAbility to complete required training within 3 months of employmentAbility to produce and review typed business letters, reports, and accurate numerical recordsPersonal and reliable transportationValid driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of insuranceComputer skillsLeadership skillsExperience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors is preferred.
