SALARY RANGE$65,000 - $80,000 AnnuallyJOB SUMMARYThe Director of Middle School Student Activities oversees co-curricular programs, including assemblies, camps, student government, and class and club activities. Reporting to the Middle & High School Assistant Principal for Student Life, this role collaborates with faculty, families, and the broader community to create meaningful student experiences and support student growth in alignment with Mid-Pacific's commitment to deeper learning.COMMUNITYMid-Pacific is a community that values each student's unique perspectives, talents, and aspirations. Faculty and staff work collaboratively to prepare students for a complex, interconnected world by fostering critical thinking, creativity, ethical collaboration, and cross-cultural understanding—empowering students to reach their full potential.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOther duties may be assigned.Student Leadership & OrganizationSupervise and monitor student activities, including advising student organizations, and developing, coordinating, implementing, and scheduling co-curricular programs.Work closely with middle school club advisors to plan and assist with club-related activities.Advise the Executive Council members and provide support to all Class Council members.Hold Student Council meetings regularly and support student-sponsored events and activities.Program Planning & Event CoordinationCoordinate all aspects of middle school events, including academic excursions, end-of-semester activities, community service projects, recess / flex periods, and grade-level events.Organize the middle school open house each August.Organize an annual middle school field day program and other traditional activities.Develop and sustain middle school student life traditions and experiences.Reserve venues and transportation for grade-level events, including securing contracts, processing payments, and coordinating logistics.Work closely with middle school class advisors to plan and assist with activities.Coordinate, as needed, with the Chaplain to support middle school chapel programming.Administrative Operations & LogisticsManage the student activities budget and oversee club and class budgets.Process and manage purchase orders (student and administrative accounts) and support faculty with reimbursements and payment processes.Assist and advise middle school teams on program planning, facility use, services, and available equipment.Maintain accurate records in support of student activities, events, and student council.Maintain organization and inventory of supplies, storage spaces, and activity-related resources.Meet with the calendar planning committee to coordinate annual scheduling.Develop and maintain a parent volunteer program.Collaborative Leadership & School-Wide SupportManage internal and external communications, including providing regular updates to deans and team leads.Collaborate with the Communications department to oversee newsletters and class page postings.Support teachers with designated activity blocks within the school schedule.Support the middle school advisory program and collaborate with team leads and advisors to design and implement programming.Coordinate across divisions (elementary, middle, and high school) to support school-wide initiatives and events.Attend bi-monthly Lead Team meetings and monthly directors' meetings.Meet regularly with team leaders and class advisors to coordinate projects, calendar dates, and facilities.Assist with planning and coordinating August professional development.Provide support for Admissions events and activities as needed.Collaborate, as appropriate, with the Community Engagement Specialist on school-wide events and initiatives.Regular and predictable attendance at work is essential.QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCEMinimum requirement: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.A minimum of 3 to 5 years of teaching experience working with middle-level learners.Demonstrate organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.Must have excellent oral and written interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, faculty, families, and the general public.Skill in facilitating and modeling a quality customer service orientation; and ability to efficiently multitask.Proficient in using all aspects of Google Workspace, Canva and Adobe as well as other ed tech applications.J-18808-Ljbffr
