Mechanical/Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Pannier is seeking a qualified Mechatronics Engineer to add to our wealth of knowledge and experience in manufacturing. This role will be a key role working with manufacturing and sales on new and existing products to meet customer and product specifications.
Principal Responsibilities:
· Perform all aspects for design and development for new parts and equipment and improvements on existing mechanical and electrical equipment.
· Develop and design manufacturing drawings for marking equipment and related accessories using sales proposals, customer specifications, sketches, oral and written instructions.
· Develop sales proposal drawings including operational sequences and air/electrical schematics.
· Prepare itemized cost estimates and labor and material allowances to assist the Sales Department in pricing products.
· Detail manufactured parts, showing all views and other pertinent information for proper manufacture, following appropriate standard drafting practice.
· Compile bills of material for Production Department.
· Ensure drawings, bills of material and other related data contain correct details and conform to accepted manufacturing procedures.
· Manage specific design projects as scheduled.
· Monitor product assembly to ensure construction satisfies customer's needs. Revise construction if errors occur.
· Oversee product testing to ensure product safety and quality.
· Designing and testing of mechanical electrical and various automated systems.
· Prepare instruction and operating manuals.
· Coordinate machinery installation at customer's site.
· Design and improve molds and tooling for the Machine Shop, Rubber Department and Tag Department.
· Process and follow-up job orders.
· Assist customers as necessary with start-up and servicing of new equipment.
· Identify new equipment and ideas in relation to responsibilities via vendors.
· Prepare reports on problems and special visits to customers' plants.
· Perform special projects as requested by management.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering.
· Additional training/education in AutoCad Inventor
· Design background including structural, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical knowledge.
· Three to five years of mechanical and electrical design experience
· Working Knowledge of Microsoft business programs.
· Excellent communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
