Medical Assistant (Overnight) - Mental Health Program

Growth Centers of AmericaPosition OverviewThe Overnight Medical Assistant plays an essential role in supporting the health, safety, and overnight medical needs of our clients within our residential treatment program. This position works closely with nurses, therapists, psychiatrists, educators, and residential staff to help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic overnight environment.What You'll DoMedical Support & Client CareTake and record vital signs, complete drug screenings, and document medical updatesAdminister medications according to physician orders and facility protocolsMonitor clients for behavioral, emotional, or medical changes and communicate concerns to treatment staffProvide one-on-one supervision for clients with elevated safety, behavioral, or medical concernsSupport overnight client routines while maintaining professionalism and therapeutic boundariesAssist with coordinating medical appointments and outside provider communicationRespond appropriately during medical or behavioral emergencies following company protocolsDocumentation & ComplianceMaintain accurate medical records, shift logs, incident reports, and overnight documentationEnsure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and facility standardsFollow all medication administration, infection control, and safety proceduresSupport compliance with licensing, accreditation, and program requirementsMaintain organization and cleanliness within medical and client care areasTeam Collaboration & Therapeutic EnvironmentWork collaboratively with nurses, therapists, psychiatrists, behavioral staff, and leadershipParticipate in shift handoffs, trainings, meetings, and ongoing professional developmentContribute positively to the overall therapeutic and residential environmentHelp maintain a calm, structured, safe, supportive, and trauma-informed overnight settingMaintain flexibility and composure in fast-paced or high-stress situationsWho You AreYou are compassionate, patient, and passionate about supporting clients through challenging moments in their lives.
