About the Opportunity:
The APPLICATION DEVELOPER is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack applications that support federal government missions. This role focuses on REST API development and modern web technologies, contributing to the advancement of government operations and service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop backend services using Java, JPA/ORM, and REST APIEnsure API security and efficient database interactions with PostgreSQLDevelop frontend components using Angular or React with JavaScript/TypeScriptUtilize Node.js for backend scripting
- Handle data formats such as XML and JSONUse basic Unix/Linux commands and understand networking fundamentals
- Troubleshoot and debug Java applications
- Use version control and build tools such as Git, Gradle, and Maven
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Java backend development and REST API design
- Experience with PostgreSQL and relational database concepts
- Knowledge of frontend frameworks like Angular or ReactSkills in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.jsFamiliarity with XML, JSON, Unix/Linux, and networking basics
- Experience with debugging and troubleshooting Java applications
- Competence with Git, Gradle, and MavenPay Range and Compensation Package:
- The base pay range for this position in specified states is $97,500 to $115,200 USD
