The staff CRNA is a member of a team of professionals who are available to deliver different types of anesthetics to a wide variety of patients of all age groups and health status in Iberia Medical Center. Anesthetizing locations are primarily limited to the Surgical Suite and the Labor and Delivery Unit. Emergent situations in other areas of the hospital may dictate the CRNA's presence there.Work Hours:Call and Weekends expected (for standard employment)1099 and Full Time Employment availablePotential option: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Friday, NO CALL, NO WEEKENDS! Inquire with Recruiter about this optionQualifications:Graduate of an approved Registered Nurse program; Graduate of an approved Nurse Anesthesia ProgramMust be licensed in the State of Louisiana as a Registered Nurse, and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Must also be nationally Certified (or Re-certified) by the Council on Certification of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Basic Life Support certificationJob Knowledge:Staff CRNA's will attend the hospital required orientation, as well as a comprehensive orientation to the Anesthesia department.
