Direct Care Worker

Job Description: The Direct Care Worker plays a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized, non-medical care to individuals in their homes. At Intercede Home Healthcare, we are committed to supporting seniors and individuals who need assistance with daily living while maintaining their independence, dignity, and comfort. We are currently expanding our caregiver team and seeking reliable, professional individuals for flexible, part-time, and PRN opportunities, with cases ranging from companion care to hands-on personal care. This position is ideal for caregivers looking to build consistent hours over time while working with a growing agency that values professionalism, consistency, and quality care. Responsibilities: Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting Support mobility, transfers, and general safety Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities Monitor and report changes in client condition Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation Transport clients to appointments or errands when needed Qualifications: Minimum 1 year caregiving experience (home care preferred) Dependable, punctual, and professional Ability to assist with hands-on care when required Ability to pass background check and onboarding requirements Current TB test (or willingness to obtain) Physical Requirements: Must be able to safely assist clients with mobility, including transfers, and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25–30 lbs, as required for client care.
