Wastewater Engineer

Work Model:On-Site What You Will Do:Lead planning, evaluation, and design of water and wastewater systems (pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities)Develop master plans, technical reports, specifications, and construction drawingsAdvance projects from concept through bid-ready documentationCoordinate and facilitate internal and client-facing project meetings and workshopsOversee permitting efforts and maintain communication with regulatory agenciesSupport construction-phase services, including review and coordinationDefine project scope, schedule, and budgets in partnership with project managementBuild and maintain client relationships; contribute to business development effortsMentor junior engineers and support cross-functional collaborationEnsure quality, accuracy, and clarity in technical documentation What You Will Need to Be Successful:Bachelor's or master's degree in civil or environmental engineeringActive Professional Engineer (PE) license, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional statesMinimum 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year of project leadershipExperience preparing detailed plans and specifications for water and wastewater systemsStrong understanding of multi-disciplinary infrastructure project deliveryEffective verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in technical writing, organization, and time managementAbility and interest in mentoring junior staff and continuing professional development Benefits Overview:Health, dental, and vision insurance401kPTOPaid holidaysParental leaveFSAOther voluntary options Interested and qualified candidates can contact Jordan Dougherty at (515) 225-7000 or email jdougherty@thepalmergroup.com.
