Healthcare Litigation Attorney

We are working with a national Am Law 100 firm that is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney for their Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a peer Am Law 100 firm or prominent boutique handling complex healthcare and commercial litigation. Experience representing healthcare industry clients in high-stakes litigation and regulatory disputes is strongly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent healthcare clients, including managed care organizations, hospitals, health systems, physician groups, and life sciences companies in complex commercial, regulatory, government enforcement, and class action litigationHandle all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparationDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and regulatory submissionsConduct legal research and develop litigation strategies involving healthcare laws, reimbursement disputes, fraud and abuse allegations, payor-provider disputes, and related regulatory mattersCollaborate with clients and internal teams on litigation risk assessment and case strategyManage interactions with opposing counsel, government agencies, and expert witnessesQualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a Tier 1 law schoolActive state bar license and eligible to practice in the District of Columbia, or the ability to waive in3–8 years of litigation experience preferredExperience representing healthcare clients in complex litigation, investigations, or regulatory matters preferred but not requiredStrong legal research, writing, and analytical skillsExcellent communication and negotiation abilitiesStable job history
