Position Title: Java Developer with Oracle Experience (2x)Location: Chantilly, VA (Remote)Clearance Requirements: Public TrustPay Rate: $65.00 per hour (Contract)Position DescriptionWe are seeking experienced Java Developers with strong Oracle database skills to support high-impact projects. The ideal candidates will have extensive Java development expertise, including web, batch, and application support, as well as proficiency in Oracle query development. This is a contract opportunity requiring on-site presence in Chantilly, VA, with remote flexibility, and involves collaborating on full-stack development, implementing RESTful APIs, microservices, and DevOps practices using CICD tools. Candidates must be able to obtain or currently hold a USPS Public Trust clearance.Responsibilities include developing and supporting Java applications, designing and optimizing Oracle database queries, contributing to microservices architecture, and participating in Agile development cycles with automated testing and version control. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.Top RequirementsMinimum of 7 years professional Java development experience, including J2EE and Spring FrameworkAt least 3 years full-stack development experience (Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, JQuery, JSP)Strong Oracle DB query development skills (including Hibernate and Spring) and experience with RESTful API developmentExperience with microservices, Kubernetes, Kafka, and event-driven architectureProficiency with CICD tools such as Jenkins and version control systems like GITExperience with test automation including unit, functional, regression, and performance testingAdvanced AI tooling experience, specifically GitHub Copilot, is a plusExcellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and thrive in a team environmentAbout Seneca ResourcesAt Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm — we are your trusted career partner.
