Technician- Process - 1st shift - WR/FL
KEY TASKSTechnical/mechanical work on all lines which will require unexpected overtimeWorking from defined parameters, apply technical/mechanical knowledge for cause and effect to optimize the process to produce product.Set and start equipment and required auxiliary equipment for new production run as outlined in the work instruction for parts to be produced to production specifications.Communicate with maintenance, mold shop, and production personnel to achieve productivity targetsRespond to quality assurance requests for corrective action by performing and documenting process adjustments.Assist with the start-up and shutdown of all processing equipment.Conduct safety checks on all machines and processes to ensure their safe operation.Assist with the training and certification of all production workers and monitors their ongoing performance to maintain quality standards.Assume shift supervisory responsibilities if needed.Must perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe & organized working assembly environment.REQUIREMENTS:Education:High School Diploma/GEDYears of Experience:3-5 years of manufacturing experienceOther Requirements:Valid driver's license required for business travelRegular and predictable attendance requiredCooperate within teams to carry out tasks and responsibilitiesOvertime may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidaysKEY COMPETENCIESHands-on approach to problem solving and analysis.Live by example the Carlex Values - Safety, Accountability, Results Oriented, Team Approach, Customer Focused, and strong Integrity and Ethics.Additional responsibility is to be able to teach these values to others and encourage them to join the team.Others, as requiredEqual Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
