The Nurse Aide I course curriculum is mandated by the Department of Health Services Regulation and instructor primary role is to deliver the curriculum in accordance with CCCC faculty policy. The purpose of an instructor at the Central Carolina Community College is to ensure maximum student learning. The instructor accomplishes this by presenting discipline specific learning outcomes through lecture, demonstration, projects, assignments, appropriate classroom management, etc. and by providing authentic student assessment that documents learning has occurred.Please include unofficial copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Will be required to submit official copies of transcripts before start date.This position may be based in Lee, Chatham, or Harnett County.This position may have occasional travel between campuses and for training. Occasional after hours may be required.This position requires face to face teaching.Essential DutiesEmbrace the institutional goals of Central Carolina Community College by engaging students as full partners in the learning process, removing barriers for student progression in the culinary program, and supporting and assisting students in achieving their educational goals.Use teaching methodology that incorporates nurse aide concepts in a dynamic instructional environment that promotes a positive, interactive, and inclusive learning experience for all students. procedures manual as it relates to instructor responsibilities.Travel to other sites and campuses within the service area of Chatham, Harnett, and Lee counties may be required.Be responsible for and perform other such duties as may be assigned.Provides Department of Health Services Regulation (DHSR) regulated curriculum to Nurse Aide students in accordance with CCCC faculty policy.Responsible for preparing and delivering theory, lab, and clinical components of the class.Administers written and skills exams.Responsible for completing and maintaining accurate class reports, rosters, and grade reports.Responsible for lab practice sessions and skills check-off.Prepares for and delivers classes as assigned.Assists in maintaining equipment.Submits class rolls and documentation per policy.Maintains current industry licensure.Other duties as assigned.Must be able to travel to various clinical locations.Recognizing and respecting the variety of experiences and contributions represented by all of our students, employees, and community, the Nurse Aide I Instructorwill encourage a learning environment where everyone is supported and valued for their unique perspectives and experiences and will foster and promote the participation of all members of our diverse communities.Minimum RequirementsAssociate degree in Nursing; ANDCurrent unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina; ANDAt least two (2) years (4000 hours) of work experience as a registered nurse; ANDCompletion of course in teaching adults, experience in teaching adults, OR experience in supervising nurse aides.Preferred Requirements* Experience in adult education* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
